Kingdom of Breton
The Kingdom of Breton is a Swordcraft warband based from Warhammer Bretonnia and 14th century france.
So if you have found this page then you are probably interested in joining the Breton Warband.
I will take it that you have heard of us and are looking at beginning your swordcraft experience and you are interested in what Breton may have to offer.
Firstly you will start as a peasant. This actually puts some people off as they have aspirations of becoming a hero and can’t wait to start and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that however it is not how we do things in Breton.
That is not to say we do not want heroes, we just like to take our time getting there, because it is the journey that makes it all worthwhile.
And that’s basically what we have to offer, a journey starting as a peasant but from there you can branch out to focus on magic as either a damsel or priest, you can follow the path of the knight and become a man-at-arms, squire, knight errant and then knight of the realm with options to further that as a quest knight and eventually grail knight or you can follow the path of the ranger, take up the bow and become the recon for the warband.
We are Knight centric, there is no denying that but we value all other paths taken and we will support you with character development, costuming and training.
We have people who have a background in medieval re-enactment, SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism), LARP, fantasy gaming, cosplay who have all brought to Breton their skills and have helped make this warband one of the biggest and respected warbands in Swordcraft.
Being medieval based, we feast, and we feast hard! We like to play hard but we party hard as well and we are known for our attention to detail when it comes to quests and feasts.
Do not be put off by the rank structure or the noble to peasant thing – it is role play and all of us understand that we are playing a game however there is a certain type of magic that happens when we all play those roles and you find yourself immersed in a rich, rewarding and worthwhile world of Knights, mages, rangers, monsters, demons and whatever else we can think of to make our quest and roleplay experience the best we can.
Friday nights are the battlegame where we hone our martial skills and learn to fight together as a warband but quests are where we shine.
